CSGamers server rules
Updated: 12/09/2024

The rules mentioned below apply to anyone (this includes Admins and Supervisors or whatever your role might be), and everyone will receive the same punishment no matter their position. The mentioned punishment lengths are strictly to be followed by all Admins, deviating from them will result in consequences.

Any admin is eligible to extend your ban twice the original length each time you violate the server rule again (for the specific rule). For instance, if you end up being banned for 2 hours for camping, Admins have the right to ban you for 4 hours if you end up violating the same rule after your previous ban has expired. If you end up being banned for 15 minutes for reconnecting, the admins will be permitted to ban you for 30 minutes next time. You keep being added 2 hours or 15 minutes each time you violate a server rule, depending on the original ban length that is mentioned in the server rules.

When reported on forums, staff are permitted to double or tripple the original ban's length, especially if it's a misdemeanour. Let's say you're reported for camping, so there's a possibility of you getting banned for 4 or 6 hours immediately (even if it's your first time) rather than those 2 hours.
You are eligible to receive a verbal warning prior to being punished for the rule that you violated. However, if it is a reoccuring theme and you have already been banned for violating that exact server rule before, admins are not entirely required to warn you prior to banning you from the server. Exception: the player(s) do not violate the said server rule(s) regularly and/or intentionally.

Player rules (applies to everyone):
• Account sharing or selling is strictly forbidden and will result in your account getting completely ‘locked’, meaning that you will not be able to access your account anymore.
Your account being locked means that the password would be changed and you would no longer be able to access your account. You would not be banned from the server.

• Fabricating evidence (faking screenshots and/or demos, for example, by editing them) is strictly prohibited. | Ban 1 Week / Ban Permanent
• Camping is forbidden - do your mission and attack the enemy team instead of spending the round in a corner hiding. | Warning / Ban 2 hours
Camping doesn't necessarily mean you just sitting behind a corner and waiting for someone to pass by (unless you do it excessively). This includes avoiding your mission (i.e., not attacking the humans as a zombie player) or purposefully hiding from humans as a zombie to avoid being killed. If you intend to stay AFK (not longer than 15 minutes), do so in the zombie spawn without moving when respawning. If you hide and stay AFK, that counts as camping and admins have the right to punish you accordingly. Attacking you from behind or avoiding being shot or killed does not mean that somebody is camping. If you camp as a human, then this DOES NOT count as camping and human players camping CANNOT be banned.

• Teamplaying is forbidden. | Warning / Ban 2 hours
• You must comply with any request to do a 'wargods' scan. | Ban 1 week for failing to provide the scan
Admins are not permitted to ask a single player for a 'wargods' scan more than once a week. They must also ensure that they guide you through the process properly. In case you are unable to do the scan, you may upload a demo and send them as an alternative solution.
• You may not stay AFK in the server for longer than 15 minutes. | Kick | Ban 1-2 hours only if the player is AFKing excessively
Typically you will be kicked from the server if you are AFKing in some instances. However, if you do so regularly and keep being AFK for hours at end, admins are permitted to ban you from the server if you have been kicked multiple times before. Staying AFK multiple times as a zombie, CT or repeatedly after a few rounds will also result in consequences.
• Any form of sexist, racist or derogatory remarks will not be tolerated. | Warning / Gag 5-15 minutes / Ban 1-2 hours
• Going out of the map boundaries or ‘anti-mapping’ is forbidden (this includes if zombies have a difficult time getting to you or if they are unable to get to you). | Warning (Slap/Slay) / Ban 30 minutes
Generally, anti-mapping does not solely attribute to a player physically being outside the map's boundaries. Any position that is particularly difficult for zombies to reach (e.g., only possible with a knockback bomb that gives the human players an extremely unfair advantage over the zombie players) could also be considered as anti-mapping.
Anti-map locations can be viewed here: https://cs-gamers.net/showthread.php?tid=1367.

• Insulting or swearing AT players is forbidden. Swearing in general is not against the server rules. | Warning / Gag 5-15 minutes / Ban 1-2 hours
Players are ALLOWED to swear or cuss, but they are not allowed to swear or cuss AT other players. Meaning if somebody just says the cuss word 'fuck', they shouldn't be punished, whereas calling someone a 'bitch' would be insulting. However, recognizing boundaries is also important, you can still be gagged for saying 'shut the fuck up' or 'fuck you' or by just generally being rude toward other players.
'Shut up', 'shut the fuck up (stfu)', 'fuck you', 'go fuck yourself' and other derogatory phrases are not insults and should not be treated as insults. However, considering that in this context it would still be considered as INSULTING at a player, they can be punished accordingly.
Directing non-derogatory terms or swears toward players, such as saying 'fuck', 'shit', 'fuck me' etc. is not considered an offense, seeing how it is general swearing, which is not against the server rules.

• Provoking players or generally being rude toward them is forbidden. | Warning / Gag 5-15 minutes / Ban 1-2 hours
• Advertising will not be tolerated. | Ban permanent
Mentioning a community, for example, CSGamers, is not against the server rules, but mentioning a community with a domain - csgamers.net - would be considered as advertising). Players, of course, are still allowed to type csgamers.net, as this is our community.
• Bhopping and/or doing sgs (ground strafing) is not allowed. | Warning / Ban 1 hour
Doing a simple double-duck ONCE (which is essentially just ducking but done quickly) or doing no more than ONE extra jump does not count as doing SGS or bhop.
• Using any cheats (including scripts) is forbidden. | Ban permanent
• Reconnecting is forbidden. | Warning / Ban 15-30 minutes
You must wait at least 15 minutes until you can reconnect. If the map changes after you left, then you're not required to wait out those 15 minutes. Exception: if you reconnect shortly after and end up in the same team with a viable excuse. Preferably, you should still wait out those 15 minutes.

• Do not use the voice chat or the default chat maliciously (spamming, annoying people, posting links, mic spamming etc.). | Warning / Gag 5-15 minutes / Ban 10-15 minutes
• You may not try to bypass your gag either (using ‘psay’ or other commands). | Warning / Ban 1 day
• Any ddos/doxxing threats and blackmailing won’t be taken kindly. | Gag 60-120 minutes / Ban 1 day
• This community is multinational, so any language and nationality is more than welcome here.
• Laming is forbidden (saying ‘ez’, ‘noob’, ‘get good’ and etc. to provoke players). | Warning / Gag 5-10 minutes / Ban 30-60 minutes
• Ranking (purposefully avoiding death or repeatedly disconnecting when you are on the opposite team just to save your rank) is forbidden. | Warning / Ban 2-4 hours
• Impersonation (pretending to be a staff member or an admin, anyone famous or anything to deceive somebody else) is forbidden. | Warning / Gag 5-10 minutes / Ban 10-120 minutes
Role-playing is not forbidden, but then you must make yourself very clear that you are indeed roleplaying, so people would not misinterpret you. Also, joining the server with another player's username is also a form of impersonation, so make sure that the player you would like to try to "impersonate" would be fine with you trying to join the server with their nickname.

• Do not ask for any rank or any in-game items. | Warning / Gag 5-10 minutes / Ban 10-15 minutes
• Listen to admins and do not argue with their final decision, and do not interfere with their duties. If you believe they made the wrong decision, file a report on forums instead of escalating the situation.
• Under no circumstances should you abuse any existing bugs (if you encounter one, report them to staff immediately. | Warning / Ban 1 day / Ban up to 1 week
Players who end up reporting bugs may be rewarded anywhere from 300 up to 3000 coins.

• Farming XP is strictly forbidden. |  Ban 1 day / Ban 7 days / Progress reset
• Your nickname, spray, or anything related to your account cannot contain anything offensive or insulting. | Warning / Ban 15-20 minutes

Admin rules:

• Whenever banning a player, the reason must be valid (write the rule they violated in the reason, e.g., camping). Do not include any swear words, insults, or anything vague in your ban reasons. If you fail to provide a valid ban reason, that will be considered as a false ban.
• You should CONFIRM with the staff members, whether or not the player is actually sharing their account with somebody else prior to banning them. We have the possibility to look through the logs to determine if somebody else from a different location logged onto the player's account.
• Each Admin is required to issue a verbal warning before punishing a player, assuming that the player HAS NOT been banned for the rule they violated before. However, do not be too judgmental toward players and be considerate instead of prioritizing the punishing approach.
• Follow the provided ban lengths carefully and do not deviate from them. You may extend the ban length if a player violates the same rule multiple times. The overall ban length for misdemeanours may not exceed 1 day.
• You may not issue any punishment before verbally warning the player (exceptions: they are advertising, cheating, or bypassing their ban or the player has been banned for the same exact rule they violated multiple times prior).
• You must be ready to provide the necessary evidence to prove your innocence if the provided evidence by the player seems to suggest that they're innocent.
• Under no circumstances should you come up with your own rules or punishment lengths.
• Remember, rules still apply to YOU as it does to any other ordinary player. Violating them will result in the same punishment any other player would be subjected to.
• Before changing the map, you need to cast a vote: ‘amx_vote "Changemap" "Yes" "No"’. After, if the vote is successful, use the amx_votemap command to choose different maps. There should be at least 3 maps of choice. You can only vote for a map change if there're less than 12 minutes and not less than 6 minutes left of the current map.
The map can only be changed if there is a VIABLE reason to change it. For example, the map is too big and not enough players, the map is too small and too many players, many people asking or requesting the map to be changed, the map is bugged or any other appropriate reason that would justify changing the existing map.
If players want the current map to be changed to something else, you can always ask them to type 'rtv' in the chat that will start the default vote if enough players type it. Alternatively, if one or two players don't type the command, but the vast majority of people want the map to be changed, you can cast the vote, ignoring the 12-minute rule for changing the map. Additionally, you are not allowed to change the map AT THE SAME round. Meaning that you have to wait till the existing round finishes before changing the map (you can only change the map on the next round).
• If a player refuses to submit a 'wargods' scan, you are allowed to ban them. However, when demanding a scan from a player, it is your responsibility to make sure that the player is acquainted with the program and provide all the necessary details they need in order to submit the scan. You also MUST have a reasonable suspicion in order to request the scan. Generally, you may not request the same player to do more than one wargods scan per week.
• As a Super Admin, you have no authority to punish any other ordinary Admin. If you happen to encounter an abusive Admin, you may not ban them from the server (unless it is absolutely necessary, i.e., them abusing their powers excessively). Report their abusive behaviour on forums or contact staff members. The only exception is if you are given a green light by any of the staff members or, as stated previously, the admin is abusing their powers excessively.
• Spectating is intended for moderation purposes only (to see if players are following the server rules or spectating someone who is suspicious to you). Do not purposefully avoid being a zombie by sitting on spectators (exception: you spend THE ENITRE map on spectators).
• Do not use the '@' command or any other command for that matter maliciously or with the intent to power-trip or abuse your powers. The '@' command is primarily intended to announce important details (asking someone to stop camping, anti-mapping or other essential details that players should notice instead for regular chatting). Just because you financially contributed and bought an admin, doesn't mean you can use the admiin commands that are available to you whenever and however you want to.
• Do not ban players for account sharing unless you have EXPLICIT evidence to say otherwise. Contact staff members for confirmation that the specific account is, in fact, being shared with other people to ensure that your suspicions are indeed correct.
Each admin is eligible to receive up to 2 or 3 warnings, but may be demoted immediately without any warnings depending on the circumstances. To see the process of issuing warnings, refer to this thread: https://cs-gamers.net/showthread.php?tid=430.
